Mohandiram Don Louis Ameresekera's biography

Don Louis Ameresekera appears as the Vidhan Mohandiram for Hewagam Corale in The Ceylon Calendar 1818. Note, in figure 1his name withuot a "Ge" name as Hanwella lineage uses their names today, but spelled with all "E" except last lettrer.

Titular Mohandirams Ameresekere Siriwarachigey Don Paulo and Don Daniel are considered sons of Don Louis, as records after 1829 do not list Louis anymore (presumably after retirement or death), while Paulo and Daniel continue to be listed further.

The name Suraweera Arachchige is spelled differently in different documents, which is due to bad transliterations from Sinhala to English. Though Louis does not have the "Ge" name in this publication, while his sons do, some of the later pubilcations show the "Ge" name for Louis too, which is proof that during publications, "Ge" names were dropped due to lack of space of ease of printing, but this is evidence that with or without the "Ge" name, it points at the same person, viz., Mohandiram Don Louis Ameresekera.
